| A native of Royal Oak,
Michigan, Dr. Phillip R. Kravetz earned a BS in Biochemistry from
the University of Arizona, Tucson, before returning to his home
state to complete his MD at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
During medical school, Dr. Kravetz earned a research fellowship
in molecular pharmacology at Harvard University. Upon graduation
he completed a general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St.
Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago followed by an orthopaedic
surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Additionally,
Dr. Kravetz completed a fellowship in orthopaedic spine surgery
at Baylor College of Medicine, Institute for Spinal Disorder in
Houston, Texas.
As a spine specialist, Dr. Kravetz’s special interests include spinal surgery,
scoliosis, spinal tumors, spinal infections, herniated discs, spinal deformity,
osteoporosis of the spine, whiplash syndrome, spinal trauma, degenerative disc
disease of the spine, failed back syndrome, work related spinal injury, athletic
spinal problems, and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Kravetz has a particular
love for new technologies and minimally invasive, tissue-sparing procedures.
Excited about the future of his field, he enjoys the challenge of working to
reach new heights in spine care.
Dr. Kravetz is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
Surgery and a member of the North American Spine Society.
Along with his wife and three children, Dr. Kravetz is looking forward to
making Little Rock his home.
