Jay Lipke

Dr. Lipke, a native of Chicago, IL, studied civil engineering at the University of Illinois, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees. Interested in the practice of medicine, he enrolled in the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree and finishing an internship at Valley Medical Center, his engineering background led him to a specialty in orthopedic medicine.

He came to Arkansas for a residency in orthopedics and a clinical staff appointment at UAMS. After a year in academic medicine, he entered private practice. He enjoys all facets of orthopedic surgery, specializing in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and total joint arthroplasty.

Dr. Lipke is a Board Certified Fellow with The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has served as president of the Arkansas Orthopedic Society. He has served as past president of OrthoArkansas, which is joined in 1977.

His favorite leisure time activities are flying, whitewater rafting and other outdoor activities. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
