Richard Nix

Dr. Nix has always believed that to varying degrees everyone is an athlete. In his case, it's to a high degree, as he is an active runner and road racer who has completed many marathons and triathlons. With that background, one of Dr. Nix's greatest joys is helping athletes of all ages return to action.

A native of El Dorado, AR, Dr. Nix developed an interest in medicine at Vanderbilt University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He returned to Arkansas for medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree, Dr. Nix completed internships and residencies at UAMS.

Dr. Nix is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

He is the father of four and enjoys being a Cub Scout leader and volunteering at a summer camp for disabled children.
