Alicia Bell, APN-BC, FNP-BC, has been in practice as a Registered Nurse since 1999, obtaining her Advanced Practitioner Nursing license in 2007. She graduated with honors from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2006 with a master’s degree in nursing science and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing science from Henderson State University in 1999.

A native of Arkansas, she has spent time in specialty medicine including endocrinology, internal medicine and family practice. Prior to pursuing her master’s degree, she was a nationally certified oncology registered nurse for seven years. She practiced as a nurse practitioner and taught at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the baccalaureate nursing program as an adjunct clinical nursing instructor prior to joining OrthoArkansas in 2013.

This background prepared her well for a special role with OrthoArkansas. Since joining, she has worked directly with OrthoArkansas’ fellowship-trained spine surgeons in the diagnosis and treatment of spine-related issues. This provides expanded, expedited access for patients with spine issues. Alicia collaborates closely with the surgeons, providing a vital link in evaluating back pain/spine issues, fast-tracking surgical patients, or starting treatment plans aimed at rehabilitation. Alicia also treats patients with osteoporosis.

Alicia is available to see patients from referring physicians. She is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and maintains several professional affiliations including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, American Nurses Association, Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
