Job Position: HR Assistant/Receptionist

Job Description: This position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

HR Assistant/Receptionist Duties

  1. Handles employment application intake.

  2. Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.

  3. Assists with new-employee orientations.

  4. Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.

  5. Assists with job postings.

  6. Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.

  7. Assists with HR projects.

  8. Assists with benefits administration.

  9. Processes payroll changes using Ultipro.

  10. Provides clerical and operational support to other human resource staff.

  11. Processes employee payroll, which includes ensuring vacation and sick time are tracked in the system.

  12. Responds to payroll inquiries from employees.

  13. Updates and maintains employee benefit files.

  14. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  1. Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  2. Possesses strong interpersonal skills.

  3. Able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR team, and in group presentations and meetings.

  4. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.

  5. Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.
