Rusty McEntire, MD

Dr. Rusty McEntire joined our team as an Anesthesiologist on January 1st, 2023. He has proven to be an excellent leader and an asset for our patients. As an Anesthesiologist, he leads the Anesthesia Care Team in providing optimal patient safety. He takes pride in providing great care for his patients and in giving them comfort and reassurance during a time where they may be apprehensive or concerned. Along with maintaining patient safety during the surgical process, Dr. McEntire also specializes in performing ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to optimize his patients’ post-operative pain control.

Dr. McEntire attended the University of Arkansas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduated cum laude. During his time there, he also was a letterman for the Razorbacks as a kicker on the football team. He then moved to Little Rock to attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Science (UAMS) for medical school. It was during his 3rd year of medical school when he discovered a love for the practice of Anesthesiology and decided to pursue it as a career. After medical school, he completed a four-year Anesthesiology residency at UAMS. Prior to joining OrthoArkansas, he was employed by Southern Regional Anesthesiology Consultants and provided care and expertise at multiple hospitals in all aspects of Anesthesiology.

Dr. McEntire has received numerous academic and clinical awards and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He also strives to maintain a balanced lifestyle and spends the majority of his free time with his wife and two sons. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing, fishing, and being involved in his sons’ athletic endeavors.
