Abby Rainwater, PA-C, is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA). A Little Rock native, Abby graduated high school form Pulaski Academy. She attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in biology and psychology. Upon graduation, Abby worked at Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, Ga., doing applied behavior analysis therapy. She later worked as a clinical research coordinator with AFLAC Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Abby continued her education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she graduated in 2018 with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Abby began as a practicing PA with OrthoArkansas in 2019 and works directly with neurosurgeon, Dr. Anthony Capocelli. She is an active member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Abby enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Ben attend Immanuel Baptist Church.   

As a PA, Abby is required to complete at least 100 hours of continuing education every two years and pass a re-certifying board exam every 10 years. PAs are overseen by their supervising physician and the Arkansas State Medical Board. In practice, PAs are considered an extension of their supervising physician. Abby's training as an advanced practice provider enhances the depth of knowledge, flow of communication, and quality of patient care in the clinic.
