Meet Dr. Walker
Dr. Walker is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist specializing in interventional pain management. He completed his training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1999 and has practiced in Arkansas his entire career.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Walker split his time doing a mixture of interventional pain management and anesthesiology. His focus was on interventional pain procedures, regional anesthesia, and cardiac anesthesia. He became skilled using ultrasound for block placement and pain relief following surgery. He is also Board Certified by the National Board of Echocardiography in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.
Dr. Walker has since turned his attention to the full-time practice of interventional pain management and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine. His focus is on painful spine conditions as well as complex regional pain syndrome (formerly known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy). He believes in a multimodal approach to managing pain, including injections, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, physical fitness, and medications in order to maximize quality of life.
Dr. Walker relies on best practices to guide his decision making. He offers a wide variety of interventions both in the office and at the spine procedure center.
