Christina Byler, PA-C, is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA). She graduated from the Harding University Physician Assistant Program in 2015 with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Christina’s interest in sports medicine comes from both a passion and talent for sports, along with a desire to help others. During her undergraduate work at Hendrix College, she earned eight varsity athletic letters, and represented the United States on international basketball and softball teams, as well as academic and volunteer distinctions. Following graduation, she pursued credentialing as a surgical technologist, graduating with the highest honors, which allowed her the opportunity to assist in a variety of surgical procedures. Her role with Dr. Ethan Schock in the OrthoArkansas sports medicine specialty allows her to bring her skills and experience together with a unique focus on top-notch patient care.
As a PA, she is required to complete at least 100 hours of continuing education every two years and pass a re-certifying board exam every six years. Physician assistants are considered dependent providers and are overseen by their supervising physician and the State Medical Board. PAs are an extension of their supervising physician. Christina’s advanced training as a mid-level provider enhances the depth of knowledge, flow of communication and quality of patient care in the clinic.
