Donna K. Barron, PA-C, is the physician assistant to Dr. Gordon Newbern. Donna and Dr. Newbern have practiced together for 16 years diagnosing and managing straightforward and complex problems of the hip and knee. Donna's advanced training as a midlevel provider and years of experience allows her to provide an enhanced depth of knowledge, flow of communication and quality of patient care in the clinic. Donna is an extension of Dr. Newbern and his practice.

Donna is a Little Rock native and an alum of Mount St. Mary Academy. She completed her undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Central Arkansas. She graduated from the Saint Louis University Physician Assistant Program in 2005 with a master's degree in medical science. She is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant and completes a re-certifying board exam every 10 years.

She is an active member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery. She enjoys teaching and often serves as a preceptor and mentor to students interested in medicine.
