Maggie Brown, PA-C, is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA). Originally from Charlotte, N.C., Maggie started her career in medicine in 2015 by earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Harding University. She continued her education by successfully completing Harding University’s Physician Assistant Program in 2017, graduating with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Maggie began as a practicing PA with OrthoArkansas in 2018 and works directly with fellowship-trained hand surgeons, Dr. Brian Norton and Dr. David Black, in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow. She is an active member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants.

As a PA, she is required to complete at least 100 hours of continuing education every two years and pass a re-certifying board exam every 10 years. PAs are considered dependent providers and are overseen by their supervising physician and the State Medical Board. In practice PAs are an extension of their supervising physician. Maggie’s training as an advanced practice provider enhances the depth of knowledge, flow of communication and quality of patient care in the clinic.
