Tristan Jenkins, PA-C, is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant. Originally from Conway, Ark., Tristan started her career in medicine in 2017 when she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Arkansas. She continued her education with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Physician Assistant Program in 2018, graduating with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2020.

Tristan began as a practicing PA with OrthoArkansas in 2020 working directly with fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, Dr. James Tucker. They work to diagnose and treat orthopedic sports injuries of the elbow, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. She is an active member of the Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants and American Association of Physician Assistants.

As a PA, Tristan is required to complete at least 100 hours of continuing education every two years and pass a re-certifying board exam every 10 years. Physician assistants are considered dependent providers and are overseen by their supervising physician and the State Medical Board. In practice, PAs are considered an extension of their SP.
