Dr. Grant Bennett is a highly skilled and compassionate orthopedic surgeon based in Conway, Arkansas, committed to restoring function and improving the quality of life for his patients. With advanced training and years of experience, Dr. Bennett provides exceptional care in joint preservation, reconstruction, and various orthopedic conditions.
A proud graduate of Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Dr. Bennett pursued his undergraduate education at Ouachita Baptist University, earning a double major in chemistry and biology. He graduated magna cum laude in 2001 as part of the Honors Program. He then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he earned his medical degree in 2006 and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Bennett completed his orthopedic internship and residency at the Greenville Hospital System’s Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina, from 2006 to 2011. He further specialized in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and shoulder surgery during a fellowship at the same institution from 2011 to 2012.
Since beginning his full-time surgical practice in Conway in 2012, Dr. Bennett has become an integral part of the community. He has served as the sports medicine orthopedic team physician for Hendrix College, Central Baptist College, and multiple Faulkner County high schools. He has also worked as an assistant orthopedic surgeon for the University of Central Arkansas, providing expert care to their athletic programs.
Dr. Bennett offers a wide range of treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs. These include physical therapy, bracing, and injection therapies such as hyaluronic acid, platelet-rich plasma, and corticosteroids, along with surgical interventions when necessary. His areas of expertise include joint preservation and reconstruction of the knee and shoulder, ligament repair and reconstruction, rotator cuff repair and augmentation, and robotically assisted joint replacements. He has performed over 1,000 MAKO robotic partial and total knee replacements and specializes in computer-planned, patient-specific shoulder replacement surgery. Dr. Bennett also provides fracture care and treatment for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, shoulder pain, and knee pain.
Dr. Bennett and his wife, Meg, have been proud members of the Conway community since 2012. Together, they have two children, Brooke and James, who are actively involved in the local community. Dr. Bennett is a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Conway and an avid outdoor enthusiast. He competes in cross-country mountain biking and gravel racing and coaches youth in the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), fostering a love for cycling in students from grades five through twelve. His other interests include camping, canoeing, hiking, traveling, and waterfowl hunting.
