Jared Bishop, MD

Jared Bishop, MD, is a board-certification candidate, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow.

A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Dr. Bishop first found his love for medicine through his mother, an obstetrician-gynecologist. He earned his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University and his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Bishop completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he spent five years and was honored with the Best Resident Award in Orthopaedics. It was during those years that he fell in love with Arkansas and the people he cared for. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the prestigious Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, training alongside world-renowned hand surgeons in complex arthroscopic and joint replacement techniques, microsurgery, fracture care, and tendon and nerve repair. He brought that training home to Arkansas, where he now cares for the patients who made him want to return.

Dr. Bishop is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society and a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association for Hand Surgery. Today, he uses his advanced training to restore complex function and motion for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.

Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Bishop enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder, getting outdoors, and cultivating his kids’ love for the Philadelphia Eagles.
